ประเภทที่ 1 ผลงานประเภทประหยัดพลังงาน (Energy Saving)
ผลงานที่ส่งเสริมการประหยัดพลังงาน ลดการใช้พลังงานด้านต่างๆ การออกแบบและพัฒนาผลงานที่ส่งเสริมการประหยัดพลังงาน การประยุกต์องค์ความรู้ทั้งในศาสตร์ของการออกแบบ ความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ด้านเคมี ชีววิทยา ความรู้ทางวิศวกรรม และศาสตร์อื่นๆ เพื่อจัดการกับปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม สร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมที่มุ่งเน้นการใช้ จัดสรร พลังงานอย่างคุ้มค่า สร้างนวัตกรรมเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
ประเภทที่ 2 ผลงานประเภทการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ (Resources Efficiency)
ผลงานที่มีการออกแบบที่มุ่งเน้นการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและเปลี่ยนจากขยะให้กลายเป็นทรัพยากรทรงพลัง ด้วยการลด (Reduce) การใช้ซ้ำ (Reuse) การนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ (Recycle) การซ่อมบำรุง (Repair) รวมถึงผลงานออกแบบที่ช่วยในการลดปริมาณขยะ (Reduce Waste) การคิดค้นและพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์เพื่อลดขยะ อันจะเป็นการสร้างหนทางที่จะนำวัสดุเหลือใช้และผลิตภัณฑ์ที่หมดอายุการใช้งานกลับมาใช้อีกครั้ง รวมถึงนวัตกรรมการเพิ่มมูลค่าและการใช้ประโยชน์จากเศษเหลือทิ้ง (Upcycling)
ประเภทที่ 3 ผลงานประเภทยกระดับคุณภาพการใช้ชีวิต (Life Enhancement)
ผลงานที่พัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองและยกระดับคุณภาพการดำเนินชีวิตของมนุษย์โดยผลิตภัณฑ์จะช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกและประหยัดเวลาให้ได้มากที่สุด เพื่อทำให้คุณภาพการใช้ชีวิตมีประสิทธิภาพ และสามารถตอบสนองไลฟ์สไตล์ของผู้บริโภค
โล่ห์รางวัล TGDA2021
โล่รางวัลสำหรับการประกวด TGDA2021 และ TDGA ทำจากวัสดุอีโค่บอร์ดจากกล่องนมไทย เดนมาร์ก รีไซเคิลขึ้นรูปใหม่ ที่สนับสนุนการจัดงานหลัก ทำการผลิตโดยบริษัทไฟเบอร์พัฒน์ จำกัด ที่มีสมบัติ แข็งแรงทนทาน ยืดหยุ่นไม่แตกหักง่าย สะท้อนรังสีแสงอาทิตย์ได้ ซึ่งผลิตเพื่อนำมาทำวัสดุทดแทนไม้ กากกั้น หรือทำเป็นแผ่นหลังคา ที่ไม่ร้อน จึงช่วยลดต้นทุนค่าฉนวนได้เป็นอย่างดี
การออกแบบโล่รางวัล TGDA2021 ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากรูปทรงของถ้วยรางวัล โดยนำมาลดทอนรายละเอียดให้เหลือเพียงเค้าโครง และทำเป็นแผ่นแบนประกบเข้าด้วยกันหลายชั้น แต่ละชั้นมีรายเอียดที่แตกต่างกัน ทำให้โล่มีมิติยิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้ยังลดความเหลี่ยมคมเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับคุณสมบัติของวัสดุ จึงทำให้โล่มีความแข็งแรง ทนทาน และมีอายุการใช้งานที่ยาวนาน ใช้วัสดุ ประกอบด้วย อีโคบอร์ด 3 ชั้น โดยชั้นกลางมีหูจับ ตัดด้วย die cut และปิดแผ่นด้วยแผ่นอลูมิเนียมและพิมพ์ขาวดำ พร้อมโลโก้มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และ TGDA โดยประเภทรางวัล และประเภทกลุ่มผู้สมัคร จะปรากฏด้านล่าง

โล่รางวัล TGDA2022 ผลิตโดย PoonSook Craft
ทำจากขยะที่นำมารีไซเคิลใหม่ จากท้องถิ่น และทั่วประเทศ โดยเริ่มจาก
ฐานไม้ ที่มาจากอุตสาหกรรมเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ใน จ. อุตรดิตถ์ และไม้จากการต่อเรือของชุมชนริมทะเล จ. ภูเก็ต มาประสานรวมกันและส่งต่อให้ช่างไม้ในชุมชนหาดกะตะเพื่อแปรรูออกมาเป็นฐานไม้
ตัวโล่ ทำจากฝาขวดน้ำพลาสติก จำนวนมากกว่า 2000 ฝา ส่งต่อให้กับกลุ่ม Precious Plastic ทำการล้าง บด ขึ้นรูปใหม่ เป็นแผ่นพลาสติกที่มีลวดลายเฉพาะตัว สีเขียว และ ถุงนมเกษตร ที่เป็นโลโก้ TGDA ส่งมอบให้กับช่างฝีมือ ใน ต.กะทู้ จ. ภูเก็ต จนได้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ TGDA
